Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan (JPP) keeps the published record accurate and follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines. Published articles are not changed or removed silently; every change is made through one of the notices below, which is linked to the original article.
Correction (erratum or corrigendum)
A correction is published when a part of an article contains an error that does not invalidate its findings, such as an error in an author's name or affiliation, a table, a figure, or a reference. An erratum corrects an error introduced by the journal; a corrigendum corrects an error made by the authors. Authors who find an error in their published article must inform the editor promptly at [email protected].
Retraction
An article is retracted when its findings are unreliable because of serious error or misconduct, including fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or a serious ethical violation. A retraction may be requested by the authors or decided by the editor after an investigation.
- A retraction notice titled "Retraction: [article title]" is published, stating the reason for the retraction and who requested it.
- The original article remains available, but every page of its PDF is marked "RETRACTED" and its article page links to the retraction notice.
- The DOI of the original article stays the same and resolves to the marked article.
Expression of concern
When there is evidence of a serious problem but an investigation has not yet been completed or is inconclusive, the editor may publish an expression of concern linked to the article. It is followed by a correction or retraction, or withdrawn, once the matter is resolved.
Removal
An article is removed from the journal website only in exceptional cases, such as a legal requirement or a serious risk to individuals. The article's metadata and a notice explaining the removal remain online.
