Metodik Didaktik

Metodik Didaktik is a peer-reviewed, professional scientific national journal in the field of Primary Education. Metodik Didaktik, which focuses on the theoretical issues and pedagogical practices in primary education, was published by Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Purwakarta Campus. This journal is published twice in a year: January and July. Starting from April 2025, the journal will only accept English-written articles. Starting from the upcoming issue, Metodik Didaktik will prioritize the publication of articles resulting from international collaborations as part of our commitment to enhancing the quality and global reach of scientific publications.

This journal accepts manuscripts covering all aspects of Primary Education, including articles reporting original research and best practices, discussing local, national, and international policies and initiatives, as well as offering comparative perspectives on research and policy through research projects. Topics may include, but are not limited to, elementary school teaching, instructional strategies, material development, and teaching competencies required by pre-service and in-service teachers. The journal also encourages contributions in areas such as:

  1. Curriculum design in elementary school;
  2. Assessment and evaluation in elementary school;
  3. Inclusive education in elementary school; 
  4. Classroom management in elementary school; 
  5. The use of technology in elementary school education; 
  6. Character education in elementary school; 
  7. STEM and STEAM integration in elementary school; 
  8. Literacy and numeracy development in elementary school;
  9. Education for sustainable development in elementary school; 
  10. Multicultural and religious education in elementary school 
  11. Teacher professional development in elementary school; 
  12. Transitions from early childhood education; 
  13. Parental involvement;
  14. Social-emotional learning in elementary school; 
  15. Digital literacy in elementary school;
  16. Educational leadership in elementary school; and 
  17. Innovations in pedagogy and school practices in elementary school.
Submissions may take the form of empirical research articles or literature reviews relevant to these or related topics.


Metodik Didaktik has been indexed as a SINTA 4 (S4) journal based on the Minutes of Determination of Journal Accreditation Results for Period I of 2025. This is stated in the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, dated March 21, 2025, concerning the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period I of 2025. Metodik Didaktik: Jurnal Pendidikan ke-SD-an is published by Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Purwakarta Campus. The journal is initially published biannually in January and July. Committed to improving the quality of education, it features original research articles from authors around the world.

This edition consists of 10 articles written by 33 authors from 12 institutions in Indonesia and Timor-Leste, reflecting contributions from the Southeast Asian region.
