Integrating Flashcards and Digital Madinah Mushaf to Enhance Teachers' Arabic Competence

Abstract


Empowering Arabic teachers' linguistic competence is crucial for improving instructional quality, as many struggle to integrate linguistic aspects contextually. This study aims to strengthen the linguistic competence of Arabic teachers in Greater Malang using word-card flashcards and the Digital Madinah Mushaf. Integrating these tools bolsters vocabulary mastery, deepens linguistic understanding, and cultivates religious awareness. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved Arabic educators from various institutions in Greater Malang. Data were collected via interviews, observation, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model and validated through triangulation. Findings indicate this combined media use positively impacts vocabulary enrichment (mufradāt), contextual understanding, and pedagogical creativity. Flashcards accelerate vocabulary retention, while the Digital Madinah Mushaf enhances semantic understanding and spiritual formation. Executed as a two-day intensive workshop featuring hands-on material development, the program proved highly effective, evidenced by positive participant responses with high average scores across all instructional aspects (4.38–4.81).
