Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Assimilation: Indonesian Journal of Biology Education (AIJBE) published a scientific paper on the results of the study/research and review of the literature in the sphere of biology education includes:

1.       learning strategies/methods/models: include 21st century learning; learning based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), local wisdom-based learning; and education for sustainable development;

2.       media learning: includes the development and effectiveness of the use of instructional media, modified practicum tools, and ICT-based learning media in improving student learning outcomes;

3.       assessment: includes the development and use of assessment of high-level thinking skills (HOTs) and 21st century skills;

4.       teaching materials: includes analysis and development of student worksheets and teaching materials both offline and online;

5.       curriculum: includes curriculum analysis and development.

6.       teacher professional development: includes training and development of Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) for pre-service and in-service teachers.

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to Assimilation: Indonesian Journal of Biology Education will be reviewed by two independent reviewers from our Editorial Advisory Board (double-blind peer review) according to research interest and scientific field of reviewers. Article evaluation process will be taken approximately two months and the acceptance or rejection decision will be delivered to authors via email and OJS. The articles must not be published elsewhere.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



Assimilation: Indonesian Journal of Biology Education does not require authors to pay an Article Processing and Submission Charges.
