ANNOUNCEMENT: HISTORIA VOL. 9 NO. 1 (2026) IS NOW PUBLISHEDHISTORIA: Jurnal Pendidik dan Peneliti Sejarah is pleased to announce the publication of Volume 9, Number 1 (2026). This issue presents a diverse collection of articles addressing current themes in history and history education, including colonial history, Islamic education, cultural identity, public history, digital history education, historical thinking, and the transformation of educational institutions. Together, these contributions reflect HISTORIA’s commitment to strengthening dialogue between historical research and history education. A notable feature of this issue is its growing institutional and international diversity. The contributors represent various universities and academic institutions and come from three Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This international participation strengthens HISTORIA as an academic platform for exchanging perspectives and research on history and history education across the Southeast Asian region. The articles also demonstrate considerable thematic and methodological diversity. Contributions from Indonesia explore various dimensions of Indonesian history and history education, while authors from Malaysia contribute perspectives on the digitalisation of history education and historical thinking skills. Contributions from the Philippines further broaden the regional scope through studies related to history and social studies education. The diversity of authors, institutions, countries, research topics, and scholarly perspectives represented in Volume 9, Number 1 demonstrates HISTORIA’s continuing efforts to expand its academic network, enhance the quality and international visibility of the journal, and encourage scholarly collaboration across national boundaries.
