A Bibliometric Study on the Use of AI in History Education: A Global Research Overview

Abstract


This study aimed to explore the current landscape of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education from the perspective Abstract: This study aims to explore the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education through a bibliometric analysis approach by focusing on publication patterns and trends to assess the extent to which AI has been explored. The search process using the keywords "Artificial" AND "Intelligence" AND "Education" in the Scopus database has successfully identified as many as 1,632 scientific articles published in the period from 2020 to 2024. The data collected was then exported and analyzed using VOSviewer and Microsoft Excel software. The results of the analysis show that the year 2024 recorded the highest number of publications with 559 articles recorded in Scopus. This study suggests that more research and publication of articles in the field of Artificial Intelligence be carried out, especially those that focus on the subject of History.
