A Community-Driven Arabic Learning Model for Enhancing Productive Language Skills in Salaf Pesantren

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Model Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Berbasis Keterlibatan Komunitas (Community-Driven Model) yang menjembatani penguasaan tata bahasa ( qawa'id ) dengan kinerja komunikatif di Pesantren Sidogiri. Meskipun fokus tradisionalnya pada teks-teks klasik, pesantren tersebut telah unggul dalam debat bahasa Arab. Dengan menggunakan studi kasus kualitatif dengan triangulasi data (wawancara, observasi, dokumen), penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kinerja siswa tidak hanya bergantung pada kurikulum formal tetapi juga pada ekosistem sosial yang terstruktur. Penguasaan qawa'id melalui Kitāb al-Miftaḥ berfungsi sebagai fondasi struktural, yang ditransformasikan menjadi keterampilan produktif melalui Bi'ah Lughawiyah (Lingkungan Bahasa) yang dibina oleh masyarakat. Alumni dan siswa senior ( Rijal al-Lughah ) bertindak sebagai Orang Lain yang Lebih Berpengetahuan (MKO), mengikuti Konstruktivisme Sosial Vygotsky. Kegiatan seperti Ḥalaqah Muḥawarah setiap malam menciptakan suasana praktik yang santai dan autentik, menurunkan filter afektif dan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri berbicara. Model ini menumbuhkan motivasi intrinsik dan keterlibatan masyarakat, menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan tata bahasa tradisional dapat menjadi keunggulan komunikatif melalui internalisasi sosial dan sosialisasi bahasa yang digerakkan oleh teman sebaya.
