Approaches and models development of 2013 Curriculum and Merdeka Curriculum

Abstract


A curriculum is a set of learning plans as a guide in the implementation of education. Writing this article aims to find out the models and approaches used in the development of the 2013 Curriculum and Merdeka Curriculum. The method used is library research. Curriculum development is very important and needed in the world of education. The curriculum is used as a guide and guide in teaching and learning activities. The rapid development of science and technology (IPTEK) influences directly or indirectly the education curriculum. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a curriculum that needs to be balanced with educational developments. The model used in developing the 2013 curriculum is a combination of the Ralph Tyler model and the Hilda Taba model. The approach used in developing the 2013 curriculum is a competencies-based curriculum and is thematic-integrative. While the model used in developing Merdeka Curriculum is using a technological approach and social reconstruction. The curriculum development model used in Merdeka curriculum is The Systematic Action Research Model and Emerging Technical Models which refer to changes in technology and science.
