Use of YouTube for Online Learning Experimental Report Texts by 9th-Grade Junior High School Students

Abstract


During the pandemic, the learning system goes online, bringing vast amounts of media or methods of renewal to be used in education. In this new study, which students have adopted the use of youtube media in online study, the Indonesian language subject, the textual material for the test report. The purpose of research is experimentation on methods that increase the motivation of students to study online, and are active in the study of Indonesian materials. The method used is a descriptive cuantiative, the resulting data is calculated and systematically described. It's conducted online, by 18 ninth grade high school students. Data collection was done with the use of pre-experimental design (pre-test and post-test) methods. The instruments used are pre-test, post test, and youtube videos. The study proved that youtube media can increase students' interest in online learning, and improve ability to study the text of the experiment report. The study suggests that, Indonesian method of learning, experimental report material using youtube has increased by 44.99%, and is receiving a good response from 9th grade, middle school students.
