PENGARUH METODE SQ3R TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA CEPAT SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to know the effect of SQ3R method to  the student skimming ability in the elementary school grade V.  SQ3R  method is a method of reading, which consists of five steps activities which  students have to do that is predicted, ask questions, read, respond to questions, and revisit. This research is an  experimental research. The sampling technique in the development of this research is the sampling area, while the design of the writer is using in this research using a control group design.  The instruments used are tests and observation to be quickly read ability. Based on the calculation of the t test is 3,75 with dk = n1 – 1or n2 – 1 = 22 - 1 =  21. At the significant level 5% (0.05) Is 2,08 (t-table). Because 3,75 > of 2,08 then rejected Ho and accepted H1, meaning that contained the effect of the method SQ3R on the students quickly read ability in  the elementary school grade V.
