Enhancing Arabic writing skills using Chat GPT-based AI learning models: A tridimensional human–AI collaboration framework

Abstract


Learning to write Arabic in the Insya' stages will be the most difficult step for students. Several complex grammatical theories must be mastered. This research aims to make learning Arabic writing skills easier based on artificial intelligence. It is hoped that according to its function, AI can make everything easier, especially in writing Arabic. In this case the researcher used GPT chat with a special prompt for this development. Researchers use RnD research with the borg and gall model through descriptive, evaluative and experimental. The trial will be carried out on experts and 42 students of the UII Islamic religious education study program and the test results will be analyzed using descriptive-quantitative tests, comparisons, and product feasibility percentage tests. After testing the product, the results indicate that 89.6% received an 'excellent' rating from expert evaluations of the AI-based learning platform, 88% of students achieved scores above the minimum learning threshold, and there was a 12.5% improvement in student capabilities compared to before. Several weaknesses need to be anticipated, such as the need to create additional applications to clarify the results of answers from GPT chat translation. The novelty of this research lies in the type of prompt used in ChatGPT and the applications for analyzing the translation results, making the translations more accurate in accordance with Arabic grammatical rules.
