Tanzir is a PhD student at the Universiti Malaya and an English lecturer at Akademi Komunitas Negeri Aceh Barat. He is also the Associate Editor at SiELE journal and the Editor-in-Chief at VOCATECH Journal. Tanzir also works as the Director of Aceh Learning Center, a non-government institution offering IELTS and TOEFL courses in Banda Aceh.

Roshidah Hassan (PhD) is a French Senior Lecturer at the Department of Asian and European Languages, Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Universiti Malaya. Her areas of research include Phonetics and Phonology, Ethnolinguistics and Language Acquisition. She supervises master's and PhD students in the areas of phonetics and phonology, Malaysian English and language acquisition of foreign languages by Malaysian students.

Stefanie Pillai (PhD) is a Professor at the Faculty of Languages & Linguistics, Universiti Malaya. Her main areas of research interests include Phonetics, English Language Education, Language Use as well as Language Revitalisation. She has not only studied the sound system of Melaka Portugues (MP), its use, and transmission, but also worked with MP community representatives on language revitalisation efforts.
