Contribution Statement

All reviewers listed on this page have completed at least one peer-review assignment for the Journal of Science Learning. Reviewer contributions are voluntary and conducted in accordance with the journal’s peer-review procedures, ethical policies, and editorial guidelines as recommended by COPE and implemented through OJS.

Peer-Review Model

The Journal of Science Learning applies a double-blind peer-review process managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Under this model:

  • Reviewer and author identities are concealed from each other

  • Manuscripts are evaluated based on scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and relevance

  • Editorial decisions are made independently of authors’ institutional, geographic, or personal backgrounds

Reviewer Roles and Responsibilities

Reviewers for Journal of Science Learning are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based assessments

  • Submit reviews within the agreed timeframe

  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in manuscripts

  • Respect confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and related data

  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest prior to accepting a review

  • Refrain from using information obtained through peer review for personal advantage

Ethical Standards and Integrity

In accordance with COPE ethical principles, reviewers are required to:

  • Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents

  • Not share, discuss, or distribute manuscripts without editorial authorization

  • Alert the editors to suspected cases of plagiarism, redundant publication, data fabrication, or other forms of research misconduct

  • Maintain professional, respectful, and unbiased communication in review reports

The journal reserves the right to take appropriate action in cases of ethical breaches.

Recognition and Reviewer Credit

Reviewer contributions to the Journal of Science Learning are formally recognized through:

  • Public acknowledgment on the journal website (without linking reviews to specific manuscripts)

  • Annual reviewer credit listing by volume and publication year

  • Reviewer certificates and letters of appreciation, issued upon request

  • OJS-based reviewer activity records, accessible to reviewers via their user profiles

Recognition is granted without compromising the confidentiality of the peer-review process.

Confidentiality and Anonymity

To preserve the integrity of the double-blind peer-review system, the journal does not disclose:

  • Reviewer identities associated with specific manuscripts

  • Contents of individual review reports

  • Editorial deliberations

Reviewer names are published solely as part of an annual acknowledgment and only for reviewers who have completed review assignments.

Period of Acknowledgement

Reviewer acknowledgements are published annually, covering peer-review activities completed within the corresponding journal volume or calendar year.
