Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics

Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics (pISSN: 2301-9468 and eISSN: 2502-6747) is a  Journal of First and Second Language Teaching and Learning which has been indexed in Scopus and DOAJ since 2014. It is published three times a year in January, May, and September. We accept mainly research-based articles related to applied language studies. The language studied can be any language such as but not limited to English, Indonesian, German, French, Arabic, vernaculars, etc. However, the language to convey those ideas should be English.

Jurnal Indonesia untuk Kajian Pendidikan (Indonesian Journal for Educational Studies)

This journal was first published on March 11, 2016, and it is issued every March and September. MIMBAR PENDIDIKAN  is a new version of the old journal with the similar name that was published from 1995 to 2005. This journal is dedicated not only for Indonesian scholars who are concerned with educational studies, but also for scholars of Southeast Asian countries and around the world who care and want to share thoughts and ideas related to educational studies in general. 

MIMBAR PENDIDIKAN journal is organized by the Lecturers of UPI (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia's Journal Developer Team); and is published by UPI Press,Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The articles published in MIMBAR PENDIDIKAN can be in English, Indonesian or Malay language.

MIMBAR PENDIDIKAN journal is devoted, but not limited to, primary education, secondary education, higher education, teacher education, special education, adult education, non-formal education, and any new development and advancement in the field of education. The scope of our journal includes: (1) Language and literature education; (2) Social sciences and humanities education; (3) Sports and health education; (4) Economy and business education; (5) Math and natural science education; (6) Vocational and engineering education; and (7) Visual arts, dance, music, and design education.

Journal of Mathematics and Science Teaching or Jurnal Pengajaran Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (JPMIPA) was founded in 1993 and published qualitative and or quantitative research concerning mathematics and science teaching. JPMIPA is published twice a year in April and October with 16 articles per number or 32 articles per year. We aspire to become a journal which contributes to math and science teaching improvement by spreading knowledge that all stakeholder engaged in mathematics and science teaching can be able to benefit from. As of 26 May 2016 we are recognized as Nationally Accredited Journal by Indonesia Directorate of Higher Education (DIKTI) via Decree No. 36a/E/KPT/2016.

The articles in each issue are based on undergraduate students' final paper (skripsi). The Journal of Science Learning (JSL) is an open access and peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The work collaborates with Indonesian Society for Science Educators. It serves original articles on the latest issues and trends in high quality research and theoretical position papers concerning preservice and in-service education of science teachers. The article offers ways to improve classroom science teaching and learning, and professional development. JSL is a triangual journal issued on March, July, and November.

The scope of Journal of Science Learning are:

  1. Science Learning : consisting of theoretical and empirical research studies on learning of science.
  2. Science Learning in Everyday Life : consisting of analytical, interpretative, or philosophical papers regarding learning science outside of the formal classroom.

Journal of Sustainable Development Education and Reseacrh

Sustainable development or sustainability is a concept of development with regards to fulfilling the present needs without sacrificing needs fulfillment of the future generation. This contains two key concepts: (1) the concept of needs, in particular the essential needs of the world's poor, to which overriding priority should be given, and (2) the idea of limitations imposed by the state of technology and social organization on the environment's ability to meet present and future needs.

Development is usually related to the attempts of achieving the aim of improving the people’s welfare. As to the economy, at the national level, it is designed for economic growth as measured by certain indicators, such as the improvement of gross domestic product (GDP), gross national product (GNP) and income per capita, which often include output from exploiting the natural resources at the cost of environment.

The attempts of improving the people’s welfare inevitably have the economic, social, and environmental effects such as the increase in social costs for environmental repairs. Therefore, it needs wise and careful development policy and implementation. For this regard, the application of sustainability concept which takes into consideration the present needs without sacrificing fulfillment of the future generation’s  is important. Therefore, even though the concept is just related to ecological problems at the beginning, it has now included various other fields such as the economy and social balance.

The implementation of sustainability program should take the exploitation effects into account to prevent the environmental damage as best as it can. To achieve this, it needs development agents who are not only equipped with the certain level of competence and professionalism but also wisdom and virtue, based on the awareness of the importance of preserving the natural environment in a wider context. Since the particular issue has become the global one, this should be applied to the national development in every United Nation’s member country as Global Action Program (GAP).   

It is believed that the quality of human resources, as the agents of the development, exerts a significant influence on the application of the concept. The quality of human resources is the product of education since education plays an important role not only in the attempt of shaping the skills, knowledge, understanding and awareness of sustainability but also in the attempt of innovating technology which may produce eco-friendly products. Application of the concept also needs studies in regard to investigating solutions of the sustainability-related problems. These include those in the environment, economic, social and cultural fields. Hance education and research play a very important role in the application of sustainability concept.

As regards to sharing and disseminating the related expert work in the sustainability education and research, it needs a journal publication as a medium. This journal is expected to become an effective medium of which experts, professionals, academicians, and researchers communicate and disseminate their research results and strategic ideas and concepts concerning sustainable development.

Journal of Indonesian Linguistics

Journal of Indonesian Linguistics is a journal published by the Indonesian Association of Applied Linguisics. We welcome papers (research-based or literature review) on a full range of linguistic topics from purely theoretical, descriptive inquiries, interdisciplinary studies to entirely applied ones such as language pedagogy, language acquisition, and translation. We especially invite papers on Indonesian language-related issues, even though we of course accept linguistic papers on other languages. English is the only language of publication.
